Entertainment and Party Tips
Use the timing guidelines here, along with the number of kids you’re expecting, to customize your perfect party package.
Award-winning fine art face painting: about 5-7 minutes per face (or around 10 kids per hour. Remember to account for siblings who may also want to be painted). Every child is transformed with an individualized masterpiece that is truly wearable fine art.
Interactive comedy magic show: typically 30-40 minutes long, but can be scaled down to as little as 10 minutes if needed. As many as 10 kids get to be helpers in the show. The birthday child performs the “grande finale”, and makes a real edible cupcake magically appear, and candy appear for all his/her friends. Perhaps the greatest magic trick we have is the ability to keep 20 kids engaged and sitting down for a full 30 minutes! Click for Photos of Penney the Clown in action!
Twisty balloon art: 2-3 minutes per child (or around 10 kids per 30 minutes) Crowns, dinosaurs, magic wands, wearable wings, fighter jets, and animals of all kinds.
“Face Tales” story telling show: about 15 minutes — An original fairy tale story starring the birthday child, told while his/her face gets painted with illustrations from the story.
Glamor makeovers: 2-3 minutes per child (around 10 kids per 30 minutes) Perfect for “Pop Star” or “Musical High School” themed parties. Very light makeup, yet still full of glitter, glitz, and glam.
Dance show: about 30 minutes, for kids age 6 and up Also a perfect fit for “Pop Star” or “Musical High school” themed parties. A simple, yet dynamic dance routine is taught, and then all the kids perform the dance to their favorite music for an audience of friends and family. This is best when scheduled at the end of the party, when parents have arrived. Have your video camera ready!

Helpful Hints for a Perfect Party
Helpful Hint #1: Don’t forget to allow at least 30 minutes from your party’s announced start time for all your guests to arrive before the magic show starts. OR start with face painting while the guests are arriving. That way no one has to wait in line, and no one misses the show if they’re a little late.
Helpful Hint #2: If you’re having your party outdoors, bring a garbage bag to keep the kids’ balloons in so they don’t pop on the grass. Penney will write the children’s names on the balloons, and you can hand them out to each child as they leave. That way, no one has a meltdown because their balloon popped and Penney isn’t there to make a new one!
Helpful Hint #3: Face painting or balloons can be happening during lunch and/or cake to save time and keep kids from becoming too antsy while they wait their turn.
